On September 13, 2008 Amsterdam will host the explosive start of the first annual Dutch offshore rally answer to the Britain Gumball road rally, in which participants thunder along the coast of Holland, from Amsterdam to Texel and back to Amsterdam.

The one day event sees everyone from models to tycoons to Olympic gold medalists competing over 100 nautical miles in 30 high end RIB's and powerboats with a combined 30,000 horse-power.

Er was wél een Nederlands team dat acte de présence gaf. En hoe. Omdat de eerste etappe (Ramsgate - Oostende) wegens storm werd afgelast, haakte Pepijn Santcroos (foto onder, vooraan) en zijn team in vanaf de tweede etappe. Omdat meedoen leuk is, maar winnen helemaal, ging Santcroos cs er met de prijs vandoor.
